A native of Pasadena, CA. Andrea Walton who now resides in the DC metro area is an accomplished Mom, Executive and Author. As a teen mom at 15, life was hard. She grew up in Northwest Pasadena with a hard-working single mom, sister and brother. Like many teens that become pregnant young, Andrea was on welfare and ultimately dropped out of high school to raise her daughter. 

At 19 years old, she took the GED test (High School Equivalency Exam) and passed. A few years later she applied to college and was first in her immediate family to obtain a Bachelor's degree. She forged on and completed her MBA two years later. 

Andrea now has a 22 year career in HR. She is the Chief People Officer at a Boston-based biotech company. Andrea has experience in delivering innovative solutions in the areas strategic organizational development, team building, leadership coaching and change management. She has a passion for developing people and helping them reach their greatest potential.

Today, she is a frequent speaker at community events and workshops that help individuals prepare to enter the workforce, career development as well as offer support to teen mom organizations.
